The Black Mamba and Snow Ninja
More tales of tails… it took all day to capture these boogers on camera because The Black Mamba and Snow Ninja were both being uncooperative and persnickety today. Well, the HOW MANY CATS mystery continues!

4. Lilla
- Nicknames: Lilla cat, Lillers, Lilly, Lillyloo, The Black Mamba, The Kraken, Kitten of the Underworld, mama’s little Princess (even if she is sorta kinda evil)
- Favorite activities: sleeping in her basket, defending the basket, stalking and terrorizing humans in the stairway, running amuck on the roof, refusing to get off the roof, skittzing out, cuddling with Brandy, biting the crap out of Sandy, assisting in making the bed, unmaking the bed, giving Brandy a “kitty” massage, posing with pumpkins at Halloween, paper shredding and distribution at Bella Pop.
- Usual locations: the basket of doom, Brandy’s pillow, in the window, the litter box, sneaking in the scrap room, the Bella Pop office
- FYI: The day baby Lilla appeared, my mom woke me up by pushing the tiniest black kitten into my face. She looked frazzled and said, “what do we do??? Your dad found her.” Brandon was at work at his “real job” and here was this sad sickly kitten, who was found living in a culvert by my dad’s shop alone with another kitten who had already died. She was on the verge of death, severely dehydrated and almost starving. When Brandon came home, he looked into the bathroom where I put her after a trip to the vet and said, “where did *that* come from??” And so goes the story of kitties from the country.

5. Quinton “Tarantino”
- Nicknames: ’lil man, ‘lil dude, Snow Ninja, Polar Kitty, the White Ninja, Quintopolis, Quinty Cat, Quincie, Indiana
- Favorite activities: chasing bugs, tormenting squirrels, stalking birds, eating weird green things and throwing them up, bringing home his latest kill, rough housing with Brandon, biting Brandon’s feet, biting Brandy’s big toe, batting Brandon’s spiky hair, eating popcorn, climbing trees, chasing off rogue country cats.
- Usual locations: as close to the bird feeder as possible, near the hummingbird feeder, 30 feet up in a tree, on the roof, following around his humans, a comfy spot, near the popcorn bowl, sleeping at Brandon’s feet.
- FYI: Quinton arrived not long after Lilla. He was camped out at my Grandpa’s (who had gone out of town for a while) and was stuck on the roof. He sure was a pretty white and grey kitten and meowing quite loudly. When we finally got him off the roof, we realized he was flea bitten, scrawny and oh so pathetic. So I brought him home. Once again Brandon went into the bathroom (aka the new kitten containment unit) and he was all, “where did THAT one come from?” Quinton sleeps inside at night but explores outside all day in true Indiana Jones fashion.

Oh man, that’s 5. So far!

Lilla is totally giving the stink eye in that last shot! And Quinton…well, he’s just gorgeous. I love his pink nose! :-)
This makes me wanna get a cat now.
Quinton’s pink nose is to die for! I have figured out how to get Lilla to not bite me. But it’s my secrete. :)
Ahhhh….Brandy sounds like my household growing up. We “adopted” so many strays… Brandon- kudos for be a good sport about all the felines! :)
Quinton is such a handsome little guy!
I love these photos! They all look so soft and cuddly :)
I love Quinton’s little pink nose. Brandon says if we shaved him, he’d be all pink and I’d finally have a piggy. LOL
