Not just any camper. My cousin’s camper. This crush happened innocently enough about a year ago when she showed up at the 2011 Family Reunion. I just about died when I went inside to see a turquoise sink and stove AND original 60s starburst pattern back splash. It was love (and obsession) at first sight. G mentioned he might fix it up more and flip it for a profit. Of course I was all, oh oh oh I’ll buy it! Me and just about everyone else in our family. Ha! My cousin Bunny also showed up with a new (vintage) camper and it was adorable! That was it. I wanted a vintage camper.
But not just any vintage camper. My cousin’s camper. Hey one can dream, right?
So my search for the perfect camper got kind of crazy, I was even willing to go as far as Oregon to get one. Darn those turquoise sinks and stoves! Crazy as that plan was – the campers I liked kept selling immediately. I just couldn’t get a chance to look at one (or get someone to look at one for me 2,000 miles away!) B kept kept telling me it was ok, that camper just wasn’t meant for me… that we’d find one it would just take time. So I messaged my cousins and asked about campers, if non working breaks was normal, did theirs come with A/C and if not would it be hard to install. I joked that they just needed to sell me their camper already. Nik asked my budget and said they’d keep an eye out for me (and that she’d work on G to see if he’d sell theirs.)
That was pretty much a pipe dream to me! I’ll admit *every* time I went on Facebook and it showed I had a message, a little part of me thought wouldn’t it be awesome if it was Nik and she said G wanted to sell it? Well GUESS WHAT!! One day I got that message!! And I just about died and fell out of the chair in excitement. Then I took a pic of this correspondence and texted it to Brandon:
yeah, pretty much best. text. ever.
BTW, he’s telling me Happy Halloween because one day I said that I would rather buy a vintage camper than throw a Halloween party this year. Yes, I spend a crazyyyyyy amount on Bella Pop Halloween parties. Let’s just leave it at that.
Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I am so EXCITED. Here’s the first look at our soon to be (new) vintage camper! These are personal pics of Nik & G’s I swiped off Facebook – don’t worry Nik said it was ok to post them. :) I am bouncing off the walls counting the days till we go pick her up. 10 more days??? OH YEAH. Can’t wait to decorate and go on our first camping adventure!! My cousins totally win best cousins ever award. They are pretty awesome!! Just sayin’
