So here’s the thing:  I wanted to do something crazy wayyyyy back before Bella Pop.  B would have none of it.  Ha!  And yeah, I’m not really sure how we got to this point  - I may have made a joke about it, and B was game.  As in FOR REAL.  Really?!!  Yeah. When I put it out there to my parents, they thought it was a joke.  There’s talk that it’s cupcake Sandra and Jana Banana’s fault.  ;)  Or my cousins (who have been doing this for years.)  Or just me, coercing my poor husband. Which btw is not true, he’s just as game as I am (and pretty excited about it!)

Ok….. maybe there’s this one thing.  The timing is the thing.
crazy girl:  our lease is up in a month… why sign another lease if we really wanted to do this??
B:  um yeah, I’m starting school in about 2 weeks. There’s no way.

So yeah, that was August 1st.  Needless to say, it’s been all kinds of crazy up in here.

If we were just moving, that would be one thing.  But we need to get rid of all our stuff.  Oh and we had to tell people.  As in our BFFs – so we made them guess what was going on!! HA HA.

All that photo gear we’ve been hoarding (and don’t use?) needed to sell it!  Clothes we never wear?  Time to donate!  Who needs cabinets of kitchen gadgets when the basics will do?? Um yeah, our house is starting to look like a store.  Don’t worry, we’re keeping our books, cameras, guitars,  globes and the fur kids are going on this adventure with us.  Details?  We’ll share that later.  Oh and we’re having two garage sales.  You’d think that saying goodbye to all of our stuff would be sad, but it’s actually invigorating and freeing!  Simplify, baby!

So. much. stuff. needs to go. because…

Yep. We are selling 90% of our stuff and moving into little camper. Yes, camperrrr is tinyyyyyyy!! We will eventually buy a vintage airstream to fix up as well to live out of and travel with camperrrrr too.  But for right now, we’ll have “home base” and will start doing an awesome renovation to camperrrr (so. crazy. excited!!) We’ll be traveling around the DFW area when B’s working and in class @ TCU and over vacation / breaks we can jet outta town.  Of course, I can teach online classes anywhere ;)  Oh and we are SO buying stand up paddle boards!  This is really happening.  Get ready for some crazy adventures!!

p.s. we’re calling this adventure “the Short Short Trailer” instead of the Long Long Trailer.  Cupcake Sandra and Jana Banana, maybe it *is* your doing!! ;)
