If you have a big fancy camera and want to learn how to use it, this is the class for you!  This beginner online class is for anyone with little or no experience using a digital SLR camera who either a) shoots in automatic b) shoots in “training wheels” or c) wants to feel more confident shooting in manual mode. During the 4 week class you’ll learn how to shoot in manual and how to take better pictures with creative exposures and more. We’ll cover the basics of shutter speed, aperture and ISO as well as metering and white balance.  Before you know it you’ll be showing off your mad photography skills and shooting in manual mode!

This 2 week “creative basics” mini photography class is specially designed for point and shoot cameras and beginners with little to no photography experience.   Students can take creative basics classes with any point and shoot, cell phone camera or DSLR camera. In just 2 short weeks you’ll learn point and shoot camera tips and how to be more creative with photography while taking pretty pictures with any camera while shooting in automatic!

This class is for anyone who has taken Shooting in Manual (Photo 101) or already knows how to shoot in manual with a DSLR camera and wants to learn more about shooting creative photography. In this class we’ll cover the basics of artistic photography including rule of thirds, creative composition and design. You’ll learn about line, color, light and texture in photographs and how to approach subjects with a creative eye while shooting in manual mode.

This class is for beginner shooters with little or no photography experience who would like to understand the basics of natural light and how it can make or break a photograph. This class is for anyone who has taken Shooting in Manual (Photo 101) or already knows how to shoot in manual with a DSLR camera and wants to learn more about shooting with natural light in photography.  During this 4 week online class students will learn how to “see the light” and how to determine the best available light while using natural light in photography.  We’ll work with a variety of natural light including:  color of light, full sun, dappled shade, even shade, the golden hour, filtered light and window light inside photography.
