Hello My Name Is Josie
Over the weekend we met up with our friends Becky & Chris for dinner at Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie. We could have taken pictures of the food bonanza: appetizer with fried pickles, fried corn on the cob, onion rings. Then the entrees: the guys had spicy chicken fried steak, Becky ordered the catfish and I couldn’t decide so I went with the spicy chicken fried steak. Apparently, we could have easily shared with the guys but they said they were HUNGRY and required their own plates. So I ate about 1/4 of my meal (of course, I’m saving room for dessert!) Ha ha! Dessert ended up being fried ice cream (Chris, not me!) blackberry cobbler with cinnamon ice cream and I ordered the bread pudding. Brandon man was apparently stuffed and stuck with the coffee. Hey, I told you it was a food bonanza.
But I didn’t take any pictures. We were busy talking, hearing ghost stories, giggling and acting like goobers as we made knives dance on the table cloth (paranormal activity yo!) It’s always an adventure when the four of us get together.
After dinner we met B&C’s first little fur baby: Josie. We were trying to teach her not to bite by squealing (loudly) when bitten. It worked for the most part with everyone but me. Apparently I had to really scream because my squeal just prompted Josie to bark back at me in the littlest (cutest) baby puppy voice. Of course, I had to snap some pictures of the little fur ball. Just LOVE her name tag – found on Etsy. Oh and Josie’s favorite toy of the moment? The purple cow. Moo!
