Getting There – Seattle, Washington

Yay!  We’re back!  Yes, the last blog came from the airplane on our way to Seattle and I said there would be more to come… but travel blog fail.  The first couple of days we were in the mountains in the Olympic Peninsula and I couldn’t get a decent internet connection for blogging.  Then the following days were filled with portrait sessions, eating, walking around Seattle, being tired from walking around, and simply exhausted after fun days of site seeing and photography.  Go figure!  :)

Anyway, it’s time to get some blog goodness going on with our first day aka “travel day” to the Pacific Northwest.  Most of these images are from our iPhone for this day.  Here’s a few of my favorites.

Seriously, McDonald’s?  We get to fly out of the terminal with Reata, Blue Mesa, and a ton of other places and we have to have McDonalds.  Ha Ha! Oh and I have a new shirt, it says Hello, my name is awesome.  Getting to the airport/through airport security/grabbing a bite eat about 6 people commented on my shirt.  They’d say “hello awesome,” and I was half asleep and it took a second to catch on.  Maybe I should have one that says hello, my name is goober.  :P

I was psyched to see our plane had wi-fi… you had to pay for it of course!  So I actually logged on, blogged and facebook’d it from the plane.  It was quite entertaining until the macbook lost power.  Boo!  We were snapping away with the iPhones… here’s a pic of the Great Salt Lake in Utah.

The Seattle/Tacoma airport.  Brandon HAD to snap a pic of the planes.  :)

2.5 hours after landing we found ourselves at a little Italian place in Gig Harbor, WA.  YAY FOOD!!!

Gig Harbor… so pretty!

After this we get back in the rental car.  Funny thing is, it was one of those cars that didn’t have “keys.”  The lady at the place had it started for us but we seriously couldn’t figure out how to start it when we got back in.  Hmm… a few minutes later we figured it out and were one our way to the bed and breakfast in Port Angelas.

UPDATED – I finally figured out how to get iPhone video on the computer – so here’s a clip of me, after I’m fed and happy with some good music on the radio.  Note:  it’s a wonder my husband doesn’t leave me on the side of the road somewhere.  :)

Day two tomorrow!  Lake Crescent, the Hoh Rainforest and Forks.  :)
