Sky and Peter – Weatherford Engagement

Bella Pop brides and grooms are the best. For real. We are super excited for all the weddings we have lined up for 2010 including Sky and Peter’s wedding next month! Sky and Peter are such fun, vibrant individuals who love their kitties, movies, rainy days and or course – each other. Peter is known for wearing flip flops. all. the. time. Sky has the most gorgeous eyes and she’s not opposed to tickling Peter for the sake of art.

Last week when we met up to shoot their engagement session it was cold and rainy but these two rocked it with a spring inspired vibe (and a fun bubble umbrella!) There was laughing, shivering and then afterwards arcade games and pizza at The Pizza Place. We had the best time. Sky and Peter, thanks so much for spending the afternoon with us! We *HEART* you!

Hico – Small Town Texas

Just FYI, I’ve got a stockpile of adventures and images just waiting for their big moment on the blog. That being said I have three different blog “to-do” lists on my iPhone: 1) portfolio 2) personal 3) boudoir. I never intended to get behind with sharing our adventures but it happened so I’ve been steadily sharing a mix of last year’s with FRESH 2010 posts. It seems to be working well and I hope you enjoy. Today’s post comes from the personal files: our day trip to Hico, Texas.

To be honest I can’t remember what made us go to Hico. My mom is from Comanche and nearby there is Dublin and the Dublin Dr. Pepper place. We drove through Stephenville and just kept driving. Brandon says we just ended up there. That kinda sounds like us so that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I can tell you that it was Memorial Day. It was hot as Hades and we were the three nuts walking around in the middle of the day. I’m pretty sure we had a death wish because we didn’t even bring along water! I remember we HAD to have Dairy Queen ice cream right after. Dairy Queen never tasted so good.

To Jenna Cole and Lynn in Love – this was the building I was telling you about! I’m not sure if it is still there but is sure would be a cool place for a photo shoot!

Kimberly and Kyle – Weatherford Engagement

Last fall we met up with Kimberly and Kyle for an engagement session mixed with a touch of urban style and small town feel. The location- our hometown of Weatherford. We started the afternoon in historic downtown, visited the park and ended the session out in the country with the railroad tracks. Dallas Photog Shootout

Last week we were connecting – networking – meeting new people like crazy. We LOVE meeting new photographers, making new photog friends and just having a fun creative time in general. So when I heard that Photog Shootout GTG would be in Dallas, I snagged us a couple of tickets. The Dallas event took place at the lovely Ryan Manor. There were gorgeous models, fun vintage outfits and of course 30 something photographers! I didn’t shoot much because I was more excited to talk and connect with my fellow peers and gosh did we have a BLAST. After the shootout most of us went to Breadwinners for dinner. It was the best time and I highly recommend future Photog Shootouts.

We are still planning our own Rock it with BP creative series and for sure it will be filled with good friends, fun and photography!

Lindsay and Keith – Arlington Heights Fort Worth Wedding

“Life is good” That was the phrase on the adorable jars of salsa chosen as favors for the big day. The details included gorgeous green dresses, a vintage inspired hair piece of the bride’s, a little bride and groom playing football, and of course two wonderful people truly in love. Lindsay and Keith were married last summer in Fort Worth with a romantic ceremony at Arlington Heights Christian Church in Fort Worth. Their festive Tex-Mex style reception took place at Esperanza’s and included Joe T. Garcia’s popular nachos, fajitas and fixings, Tres Leches cheesecakes, fun, dancing and of course margaritas. For sure it was a PAR-TAY!! We were stoked to see their get-away car, a vintage GTO convertible.

We absolutely loved being part of their big day and wish Lindsay and Keith all the best in their new life together. Life is good!

Mad Tater, Friends and Bowling Night

Last Friday night we met up with our super fun friends (and clients!) Mylynka and Lupe for some bowling, Mr. Potato head craziness and Ol’ South Pancake House. Mylynka and Lupe loved Mad Tater so much they bought their own little spud, Indy Tater. If you press his hat the Indiana Jones music starts to play and he has this “Indy smirk” mouth. Too funny.

Andrea and Matt – Fort Worth Art Space 111 Engagement

Andrea and Matt are too cool for school. For real. She loves cupcakes. He loves Batman. They love each other.

And next month we will be photographing their amazing wedding at Art Space 111 in Fort Worth. We are so excited!! Back in the day (Summer 2009) we met up with these two for a rock star engagement session which included exploring the Magnolia area in South Fort Worth, Trinity River Park and their wedding venue. We re-arranged free paper stands for our bidding, moved an entire “for sale” sign (and moved it back) and overall had a Bella Pop kinda time.

Lex-Anne and Barrett – Deep Ellum Engagement

Last October we met up with Lex-Anne and Barrett for a fun engagement session in Deep Ellum Dallas. If you love bright colors, Deep Ellum is always a score. I absolutely LOVED Lex-Anne’s polka-dot dress and Bohemian style. Barrett looked pretty GQ himself. :) We had a great time and can’t wait for their wedding in May!

Kate and Chris – Fort Worth Engagement

We recently met up with Kate and Chris for a super fun engagement session in the downtown Fort Worth area. Third time was a charm, since we had to reschedule their session when the engagement ring suffered a diamond emergency, then it was super cold rainy weather another day ,and finally a warm sunny afternoon and engagement ring success. The four of us laughed, went crazy and had a blast. After the session we ended up having dinner at Mi Cocina. Brandon and I are super excited for the big day in March (counting the days!!) We’re also looking forward to a Monday night bowling-pool-laser tag bonanza with these two love birds. Good times indeed.
