Family Reunion 2012 – iPhone (part 1)

Hey there!  I’m back from our annual family reunion and a couple of days off with my B.  Summer = the bomb.

B didn’t get to make it to the reunion this year, so Ava pup was my travel buddy for the weekend.  Pretty much the whole time I took pics with my iPhone but I did get some fun light painting with the big guns.  I snagged my mom’s DSLR from her to snap some pics so she didn’t have to.  Ha!  If you’re not familiar with our super fun reunions you can check out one from 2008 here.

This year we had campsite decorating and karaoke contests (thanks to my cousins Jarvis and Amy!)  There was a fish fry hosted by my dad and the boys, nail painting, watermelon social, water balloon fight, the family auction, games and the usual shenanigans.   Did I mention food?  Oh yeah.  And of course the best part… spending time with the family!

Ava and I hit the road and first thing we needed was a mini road trip snack.  Like 30 seconds after we pulled out.  Hey I was starving.  p.s. Chick-fil-A gives *swank* doggy treats!!

When we arrived at Lake Whitney everyone was hanging out waiting for some nom nom nom.  Yeahhhh more food!   The guys had fired up the fish fryers and were already cooking.  We had fresh cut french fries (thanks to my dad’s crazy big french fry cutter) and some tasty catfish, crappie and flounder.

After the fish fry was a watermelon social – I ended up with some of my cousins to paint our nails.  Funny thing, I never got around to painting mine bright yellow.  Ha!

The super cute hand with the turquoise nails is my cousin Linzie.  And her man put a ring on it!!!!  :)  We were so excited to see the bling – then I promptly painted silver glitter on her ring finger.  Congrats David and Linzie!  Can’t wait for the big day!   :)
