Callie – Kitten of Comfort

Cats are funny with their habits. Right now Callie is obsessed with sleeping under our comforter… Brandon calls her the Kitten of Comfort. It started out as the I’m freaking out/someone’s outside/is it the mailman/om.g they’re opening the door!!/ hide somewhere!! spot. As in you would just see a lump and say, “oh there’s a cat.” Yes Lilla does it too. But lately Callie has decided to be the kitten of comfort and totally sleep there. I found her one day during this state of bliss and caught her on camera. Meow!

Paint – Before and After (Dining Room)

I love color. When we bought our first home years ago I painted every. single. room. a different color. There was the purple kitchen. Orange workout room. Blue guest room. Green office. And don’t forget the three 12 foot tall vivid red walls (yeah, it’s safe to say I suffered from MAJOR apartment white wall syndrome.) These days we’re both digging the color gray and I’m totally into blues and lots of bright color decor. Anyway, our new place came with a red dining room. Love the red, but soooooo over red walls right now. So we decided to brighten up the space with a lighter color (and of course a little Bella Pop blue!)

Of course this meant primer: three coats of it. Fun stuff! Then it was time for the color change: an accent wall of turquoise + light blue/green you make me oh so happy teal. The turquoise is Valspar from Lowes in color Aqua Ocean. The light blue is Behr from Home Depot in Glacier Bay. Both colors are satin enamel finish. After painting the walls we finished off the trim with a bright white Behr hi-gloss paint. LOVE!!

Say hey!! We moved to Fort Worth! We’re talking pack some food / move the bed / bring the fur babies / stay the night / official. The kitties decided to celebrate by meowing all night for the first three nights. It was swell, really. We went without internet for almost a week and I was oh. so. happy. to see the AT&T guy to arrive and finally hook us up with wicked fast Uverse. So it’s been almost a week and we’re still totally living on frozen dinners, takeout and digging in boxes. It looks like the move is kitty approved (as the kitties have stopped meowing all night. thank. goodness.) And yeah, we’re still painting and decorating. I know, right?!? Here are some pics…

Boxes! Glorious boxes!!

Before the move: Ava spent 3 days mostly outside and got really really stinky. So on moving day she had to have a bath. No more stinky puppy.

Kitties first arrival point: the bathroom. Callie cat was brave enough to come out and hide behind the toilet. Lilla (below) wouldn’t leave the carrier. The kitties then graduated to the bedroom that same day, where they did the MEOW MEOW MEOW “can you hear me?”… wait, am I meowing in your face? Oh I’m sorry about that! let me meow some more – meow party ALL night. Kitties partied for 3 nights. Thanks kitties!

So I’m sorta kinda in LOVE with this shower curtain… it’s finally mine!!! xoxoxoxo (yes, that’s hugs and kisses to the shower curtain. it loves me too.)

The UPS man delivered my new All-Clad stainless pans. I was oh. so. excited! even more xoxoxoxoxox

Our awesome friends Kyndal and Levi found this globe for our globe collection at a garage sell and brought it by. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Thank you K&L! it rocks our socks!

Paint. It’s What’s for Dinner. (the iPhone Version)

So we picked up the keys. We moved in. Right?! nooooooooo. We painted. Ok, still painting. What the heck?! Are you painting the whole house?? (they ask) well um, maybe. Yeah, we’ve been painting our little hearts out. Every color of the rainbow (I lie.) Yes, we took before pictures. Of course, we’ll post after pictures. Brandon may or may not have sat in paint. I might start having nightmares of 20-foot paint rollers trying to kill me. It could happen.

We just finished DAY FIVE of this paint insanity. Who’s great idea was this anyway?? Oh right, that would be me. This girl ——> Brandy.

Luckily, we’ve managed to document this paint bonanza. Here are a few:

Why Hello, it’s Moving Day!

oh. my. gosh. so. happy. right. now!!!

Well everyone, Brandon and I are finally moving to Fort Worth. Today is the day we move into this sweet little cottage just blocks away from Central Market (swoon!) There are gorgeous trees, a big backyard with a deck and oh a gas cook top. And did I mention a bathtub? Oh wow, I haven’t had a bathtub in forever… must. by. Lush. stuff. (bubble girls squeal!!) LOVE! So the plan is to paint the first couple of days and of course we’re going to show before and after pics. For now love on this cute little photo we snapped a couple of months ago.

This little piggy didn’t arrive by post – but appeared on my desk as a sweet surprise. If you know me, you’ll know I LOVE LOVE LOVE piggies. All the Gold, Guns (and plastic glasses)

Ok, no gold… but plastic glasses and toy guns = good times. What’s better than shooting a wedding of two awesome people (read: Rachel and Daniel) … ? shooting a wedding of two awesome people who happen to be friends with a couple of your now BFFs. Bella Pop brides and grooms rock our socks! We had such a BLAST shooting R&D’s wedding and we can’t WAIT to share those pics (and like, a gazillion more weddings ha!) Anyway there was this photo booth, toy guns, and Bella Becky + Chris. We were too cool for school.

I like to Hoard Pictures and My Hair Isn’t Blue

Sad, but true. My hair is no longer blue. Yes it’s official I get to join the “oh I miss my blue/pink/purple/green/polkadot hair” club. Which I’m pretty sure is cooler than the Hair Club for Men. Remember those commercials? I’m not only the president, I’m also a member.

Anyway. Yeah no more blue hair = super crestfallen Brandy. Ok miss dramatic (the feeling only lasted a couple of days, it’s been over a week or two now.) So I might miss the blue but I’m actually NOT missing having to re-dye my hair after 3 days of swimming or at least once or twice a month from normal washing in COLD water (crazy colors are crazy difficult to keep in.) So now my hair is a super dark brown (borderline matching my Lilla Kitty aka black) and it’s still two tone. Which I totally dig. I love the darker color. I don’t have a picture though (yet) so you’ll have to take my word for it.

And apparently I like to hoard pictures. Because I have soooooo many fun pics to share on the blog and what’s on the blog? Crickets. Yeah. I didn’t mean to only blog once a week this month but it just happened. I’m working on getting back into a regular blog schedule very soon, so hang tight Bella Pop fans! And um, some of you may have noticed that our main site www.bellapop.com is a splash page AGAIN. I’m crazy. Crazy creative ok? I think this time we may actually have a launch party ha ha because I’m sorta kinda excited about what we’re up to. Right now I’m keeping what’s up at bellapop.com under wraps too. Ahhhh snap! :)

Brandy and Brandon – Our Personal Pics

Psssttt… wanna know a secret? We sorta kinda hate having our pictures taken. In fact, it’s been about 10 years since we had portraits taken (oh engagement pictures, with your old school torture posing and blue studio backdrop, yeah you.) I’m not going to count the time we were dressed up in random wedding clothes and posed for 20+ photographers… because that’s not us… so that doesn’t count. But really, 10 years… kinda sad hua?! LOL. We were a super nervous (duh!) and I felt so crazy crazy awkward in my polkadot dress (even if several people told me how adorable it was!) Even so, our amazing friend Brandi Thompson did such a fantastic job capturing us… Brandy and Brandon. Thank you so much Brandi for these wonderful pictures! We absolutely LOVE them.
