CAT-TASTROPHE
Yesterday was a busy busy day. 2 hour sexy shoot for me and then a 2 hour maternity session for us. We were tired and starving and coming home. At first while we are unlocking the other door we think we see Portia, our brown cat outside, looking extra dirty. But then, everything comes into focus and I see a fluff of white (BARELY) and I say, “uh no Brandon… THAT’S Piper.”
So um yes, this is the THIRD time in the past two weeks one of our cats has come home looking like insane-o-crapola. First it was Quinton – then it was Greyson. But no one was THIS bad. Of course it just had to be our big old 17 pounder Piper cat. What the HECK are they getting into? Soot. I said to my dad – no more you’ve got to find the cause of this and take care of it.
Now anyway, we were quite shocked. We decided it would be great evidence (and blog material) to photograph so Brandon got on the ball with the camera. He bravely continued being a shutter-bug while my mom and I wrestled with Piper in the tub. It was crazy. There’s not much more I can say – I think the pictures say enough!

Hey, we had so much fun at our maternity shoot Sunday! I know you probably weren't laughing, but those pictures of your cat are kinda funny! Did Brandon find out what is causing the dirty cats? It looks like they are climbing up and down a chimney to me!!!

- apparently, my dad has a burn barrel on property that had um, busted at the bottom and he *thinks* the cats were rolling around in it. there wasn't evidence of fat cat rolling amuck but they cleaned it up and buried the soot anyway. life in the country. yep.

Seriously, I wouldn't sleep if I were you. Piper looks murderous in that 2nd photo!!! And at 17 pounds… well let's just say that it looks like she's plotting some damage. You might want to hide your shoes and curtains. lol :)

Piper update: he still looks kinda skany. Thankfully, no other kitties have come home looking like this so I *think* we fixed the problem! hope so… : )
