Low Light Photography *new* class!

Shooting in Low Light - Bella Pop online photography class

Shooting in Low Light – Photo 104
I’m a natural light shooter, so I do not teach advanced flash techniques. However a good understanding of basic flash is important when shooting events in low light situations. In this class we’ll learn the different kinds of low light situations, how to shoot at night and how to use a tripod. We’ll also learn how to use on-camera flash with diffusers to get a more realistic look and how to bounce flash with external flashes as well.

Skill Level and Gear:
Completion of Shooting in Manual (photo 101) or know how to shoot in manual. Students need a DSLR or point and shoot with manual capability.  A kit lens is just fine, however a lens with f/2.8 or bigger aperture is suggested for low light situations. Don’t have the lens you want for this class? Consider renting from a local camera shop or online rental. An external flash and tripod is not required for this class but to get the most out of class I recommend them.  Regardless, a flash of some type (like on-camera flash) will work as well. Feel free to email me with questions about gear for this class!

Class Outline:
Week 1 –  shooting in low light situations
Week 2 – shooting at night, using a tripod
Week 3 – on-camera flash, bounce flash, diffusers
Week 4 – shooting with ambient light, painting with light

The Cost:
120.00 per person
