Filter Building Wedding Dallas – Becca and Blake
Their first date started with a lie. A little white lie you could say. Blake “had business” in Austin – so he called Becca to hang out. Becca (unaware of his plan) happily obliged. And so Blake drove all the way to Austin, for this so-called business meeting, but he really wanted to just see Becca. Of course it turned out to be the best lie ever and the rest (as they say) was history.
Brandon and I were absolutely honored to photograph Becca and Blake’s wedding at the awesome Filter Building in Dallas. This super cool couple loves books, the great outdoors and the simple things in life. It was obvious from the moment we first met that we would be friends.
We loved the personal details of their wedding: paper flowers made from old books, a guest book with library cards, their favorite books as reception place cards. Not to mention Becca’s vintage suitcase and blue shoes, hues of purple and blue and of course, the wonderful family and friends who helped celebrate this special day. Thank you so much Becca and Blake for being amazing clients and friends. We wish you many years of happiness and can’t wait to hang out again! :) xoxo Brandy and Brandon
Choose Our Adventure!
It’s spontaneous and a little bit crazy. Downright mad, some might say. And yet we’re itching to go on a road trip – but we can’t decide where to go. Then we had a great idea: let our readers decide. Yes, we want YOU to choose our adventure! That’s the crazy part. As for spontaneous: we leave Friday.
So here’s the deal. We’ve picked two possible directions for our road trip. If you pick WEST we’ll end up in California with giant Redwoods, Yosemite, San Francisco and Monterey Bay. Along the way we might explore the desert, Carlsbad Caverns or the Salton Sea. If you pick EAST, we’ll end up in the Florida Keys with palm trees and beaches. On the way we might search for gators, tour plantations outside New Orleans or check out art deco in Miami.
Of course, there’s a good chance we might hit Disneyland or Magic Kingdom for one day (so that I can ride Haunted Mansion and Pirates and get it out of my system.) We’ll have a tent and might camp the entire time, we may stay in a motel a few nights or maybe we’ll stay in a van… down by the river! ;)
Either way, we’re taking you with us. This 10 day journey will include daily blog posts of our shenanigans and chances to choose what we’ll do next.
