Avanti Fountain Place Wedding Dallas – Kate and Ryan
Kate and Ryan were married in April 2009. I accidentally deleted images from our server that affected posts from May 2009 – November 2009. I’m slowly recovering these posts with new images – xoxo Brandy
Kate and Ryan, where do I begin? We are soooo happy we have them as clients and consider them friends. Kate and I chatted a lot on gmail.com about random stuff, family drama, wedding related things. She was there when I did a boudoir shoot in Dallas and had the hotel to myself at night. We chatted about the swim team (the Olympics was playing) watching it together. I discussed what I would order from room service. I complained about the lack of Chocolate Fudge Cake on the menu. She was there for me. Brandon? I think Brandon was still working full time at one of those real jobs you know, not Bella Pop Photography yet. Oh and tonight I’m feeling sick and she types: little piggies don’t squeal for swine flu. This girl cracks me up. Ryan’s not too shabby himself. Great catch Kate!
Much to our excitement Kate and Ryan’s wedding day finally came and we gathered to celebrate, capture memories and have a great time. When she told me the wedding would be at Fountain Place in Dallas I was a little apprehensive at first, mostly because I wasn’t very familiar with it and also maybe because part of that conversation circled around her doggy Molly being at the wedding- breaking away and playing in the fountains. LOL Naughty Molly is a water-holic and gets in trouble quite often. She ended up not being at the wedding (along with her big brother Franklin who were living it up at Camp Bow Wow.) But I knew to trust Kate and it would be fabulous. Of course, it was! In fact I loved Fountain Place so much and Avanti that it is one of our favorite places now.
Mostly the wedding went sublime. It was classy yet modern at the same time. Sure, the horse and carriage didn’t show up at the door of the Hotel Fairmont to whisk our darling bride to the aisle. We hit a bump for a moment and then just decided to walk to the ceremony (just across the street.) It was the flower girls who were the most disappointed. I think they forgot about the incident when they saw the fountains and if not, surely when they had wedding cake. The fountains were awesome and Avanti, with walls of glass was a great setting for the reception filled with white cloth tables, candles in Pink etched IKEA votives and little pink roses in the vases. The cake, OMG was so cool! Simple and stunning, with pink bands of ribbon and an edible glitter of some sort. Everyone had a great time, the food was fantastic and overall one of my favorite weddings. Elaborate send off? What about a bride running through the fountain? Does Kate rock or what???
Kate and Ryan, thank you so much for choosing us to be part of your special day. And thank you for the special 6-pack of Dublin DPs. You are fantabulous!
