Amarillo road trip – aka get camper! (the iPhone version)

Oh GOSH.  I am LOVING this week!  On Monday we hit the road and drove 6 hours to meet my cousins (halfway) in Amarillo, Texas.  It was such a fun little road trip and the best part was finally getting our new vintage camper!!  I’m still trying to decide on a name.  For now, she is affectionately referred to as the camperrrrrrrrr!  Yes, just like that.  So get this:  some old guy tried to buy our camper like 3 minutes after we got in to look around.  For real.  It was soooooo funny.  B was all, this camper is already sold!  ;)  What can I say?  She’s gorgeous.  I love her.

So yeah, there was a lot of squealing (from who?) and picture taking.  While camperrrrr and I were having a moment, B got the 411 for camper stuff from G.  Which is a good thing since I know diddly squat about that stuff.  Then we hooked her up, hugged goodbye and hit the road to stay the night in Palo Duro Canyon state park!  Which btw, has a crazy / steep / pretty much precarious road to get into the canyon.  And YEAH that’s where we took the camperrrrr for the first time!!  B&B be crazyyyyyy.  But yeah, we survived and it was amazing!

We celebrated with a pizza and cokes for the first night in the camperrrrrr then got some rest for the drive back.  On Tuesday it was Fort Worth or bust – and my dad (trailer backer upper GURU) managed to teach / get B to back the camper into our back driveway.  Pretty awesome!  Here are a few of my fave iPhone photos:

 

I’m so excited to decorate the camperrrrrr – for sure will post before and after photos.  Because hello, we need an official tour right?!  Can’t wait to take her out for another adventure real soon!
